PHO issues mandatory vaccination order

The provincial health officer (PHO) has posted the Oct. 14, 2021 order that provides direction on mandatory immunization for health care workers. The order goes into effect Oct. 26. Please read the order for details.

Enrolling in PRIME: information for nurses and midwives

The Ministry of Health requires that all healthcare professionals using PharmaNet to deliver patient care participate in the PRIME program. This means nurses and midwives working in B.C. who use PharmaNet to care for patients will need to enrol in PRIME.

Inquiry, Discipline, and Monitoring updates

BCCNM publishes a variety of professional conduct notices on its website. These notices include consent agreements, Discipline Committee and Inquiry Committee notices, and Inquiry and Discipline hearing notices. While all of these notices are public information, only exceptional outcomes (i.e., Inquiry Committee order, Discipline order, hearing outcome) and circumstances (i.e., discipline hearing) are highlighted in registrant newsletters.
