Unshakeable confidence in nursing and midwifery care

Acknowledge. Practice. Share.

BCCNM's commitment to ensuring all Indigenous Peoples in B.C. receive culturally safe and timely care influences everything we do. And we are on this journey together. The Indigenous Cultural Safety, Cultural Humility, and Anti-Racism practice standard highlights core concepts and requirements for nurses and midwives. Resources are available to help acknowledge, learn, and apply the standard.

Survey: Draft Out-of-hospital Perinatal Care practice standard

We are proposing a practice standard for out-of-hospital (OOH) perinatal care. This would replace current home birth standards and guidelines. Your feedback on the draft standard will help ensure there are clear expectations for midwives in OOH settings. Survey closes March 22, 2024.
