Survey: Home and community birth

BCCNM is seeking input from all registered midwives in B.C. to evaluate the implementation, relevance, and impact of the Home and Community Birth practice standard, which was established in 2024. This survey closes on Jan. 26.

Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) update

Beginning April 1, 2026, the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) will replace the Health Professions Act (HPA) for nurses and midwives. Please be assured that your core standards of practice will remain unchanged, and your daily professional responsibilities will continue as usual.
