Consent agreement

May 13, 2024

On May 13, 2024, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a consent agreement between BCCNM and Kennedy Baker of Victoria to address the registrant's conduct that occurred between September and December 2022. The conduct was in relation to the registrant submitting timesheets for hours of work that they did not work and falsifying the name and signature of the authorizing charge nurse on some of their timesheets. In so doing, the registrant was paid approximately $23,262.00 for hours that they did not work.

The registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:

  1. A suspension of their nursing registration for six months,

  2. A public reprimand, and

  3. Remedial education on topics covering professional responsibility and accountability and completion of a comprehensive ethics course.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
