On Nov. 6, 2023 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Andrea McGowan of Tofino, B.C., related to a specific incident of sexual misconduct involving a co-worker at a work function in 2021; and additional on and off duty incidents of sexual misconduct towards co-workers including unwelcomed and unwanted sexualized comments and gestures; and other communications through social media.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:
a. A one-year suspension of their nursing registration.
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
