Consent agreement

Sep 8, 2022

On September 8, 2022, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Jennifer Wilson of Surrey, to address practice issues that occurred from January 2020 and July 2021, related to accessing her own medical records and the confidential patient records of two family members and 97 other patients, when she was not entitled to view those records.

The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:

  1. A suspension of their nursing registration for 60 days.

  2. A public reprimand.

  3. Remedial education on Ethics, Boundaries and Consent.

The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
