The Pre-authorized payment (PAP) program enables you to pay for the following year’s renewal fees over the course of the year, rather than paying a lump sum during the registration renewal period. You still have to complete your registration renewal application, but when it comes time to pay, you’ll have most – if not all – of your registration fee payment ready to go.
- How it works
• | Each month from April to December, BCCNM automatically deducts a portion of the following year’s fees
from your bank account.

| The monthly amount deducted is based on current fee levels. This means that if there is a fee increase, you will have a small balance owing when you renew your registration. |
• | During the renewal period, you will complete your renewal application as usual, but this time, most or all of your fees will be paid from the amount you have contributed throughout the year. |
• | Pre-authorized payments continue from year to year, so you only need to sign up once. |
- When can I start?
If you hold practising registration, you can join the PAP program today using the appropriate application below (in the "Apply" section below). The first year you join the PAP program, it will feel like you’re paying for the same year twice (but you’re not!). This is because there are two separate payments happening:
1. | You will pay for your current registration year in a lump sum. |
2.
| You will pay monthly deductions (April to December) from your bank account to pay for the following year. |
Example: If you decide to join the PAP program during the 2023-24 renewal period, you will pay your 2023-24 registration fee in a lump sum. Monthly deductions for the 2024-25 year will also start.

- You can apply for PAP at any time using the
PAP application form. Print it out, fill it in, sign it, scan it, and email it to us at

- Cancel
- You can cancel your participation in the PAP program using the
PAP cancellation form. Print it out, fill it in, sign it, scan it, and email it to us at
finance@bccnm.ca.
- Make changes
- To change your banking information for your pre-authorized payments, please email
finance@bccnm.ca with your registration ID and a photo of a void cheque from your new bank account.
