On August 16, 2023, a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Alison Conder of Kamloops, B.C., to address practice issues that occurred Sept. 6–9, 2021 and Jan. 5–Feb. 10, 2022, related to medication administration, professional responsibility and accountability, ethical practice, and breach of the terms of voluntary undertakings between the registrant and BCCNM.
The registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit on practice, including:
- A suspension of their nursing registration for two weeks
- A limit prohibiting them from being the sole LPN on duty, providing regulatory supervision to nursing students, or orienting new staff
- Indirect supervision of their nursing practice for a period of six months (900 hours)
- Remedial education with the development of a learning plan and consultation with a regulatory practice consultant
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
