On July 15, 2022 a panel of the Inquiry Committee approved a Consent Agreement between BCCNM and Sarah Minor (formerly Jones) of Castlegar, B.C. to address professional misconduct that occurred in 2021 arising from the use of her position, experience, credibility in public health, and her knowledge of the vaccination system to effect the fraudulent creation of four vaccine cards. The Registrant presented varied versions of events to the employer, witnesses, and the Regulator, and her conduct was deemed a marked ethical departure from the conduct expected of a nurse.
The Registrant has voluntarily agreed to terms equivalent to a limit and/or condition on their practice, including:
a. A suspension of their nursing registration for six months
b. Remedial education in Professional Ethics
The Inquiry Committee is satisfied that the terms will protect the public.
