NCAS seeking LPNs and RPNs for various opportunities

NCAS is the Nursing Community Assessment Service. They review the skills and competencies of internationally educated nurses for BCCNM. Their assessment helps us decide if applicants are ready to practise in B.C.

NCAS has many paid and unpaid opportunities for nurses. For example, subject matter experts, field testers, and pilot testers. Check out the current opportunities on the NCAS website.

Temporary emergency registration ending Dec. 31

After careful review, BCCNM will end the declared emergency situation on Dec. 31, 2023. Temporary emergency registration will no longer be a registration option after this date.

Inquiry, Discipline, and Monitoring updates

BCCNM publishes a variety of professional conduct notices on its website. These notices include consent agreements, Discipline Committee and Inquiry Committee notices, and Inquiry and Discipline hearing notices. While all of these notices are public information, only exceptional outcomes (i.e., Inquiry Committee order, Discipline order, hearing outcome) and circumstances (i.e., discipline hearing) are highlighted in registrant newsletters.
